Human activities leading to climate change were also discussed. During the discussion and the presentation made by the guest speaker Dr. Steve Foster indicated that it is due to human ignorance negligence and lack of political will in Kenya and other parts of the world that has led to such increase in the courses of Climate change.

During the discussions, several groups we found to be affected by Climate Change. Among them were the; Children, Youth, elderly, women and farmers among others. Some of the signs of the climate change discussed included: Rise in atmospheric temperatures, reduced life expectancy, Low agricultural out puts, increase of diseases such as cancer, malaria and fever, rise of the sea level as a result of ice melt, extreme weather conditions, drought and floods among others.
Several discussions were also held on how the courses of Climate Change can be reduced. Some of the ways brought forward included: Planting of trees to increase the carbon sinks, use of alternative means of transport e.g cycling, use of roller blades to and from work, use of public means of transport as opposed to private cars, conducting climate change awareness impacts to the communities in which we leave so us to help the community adjust on activities that leads to climate change, proper rural and urban planning so us to increase the land left for trees and other plants to thrive, Climate  Change awareness campaigns through, social media, TV stations, news laters and articles, music, T- shirt branding were also suggested.

During the discussions, it was also found that women play a critical role in  society and can be great change agents when it comes to Climate Change awareness campaigns. Engaging women on activities such as proper waste disposal, use of renewable energy for cooking, will help reduce Climate Change by a bigger percentage. Fighting Climate change is not a one man activity but a collective responsibility to every individual on the planet Earth. It is now or never. Climate Change is real and will wipe us out of this Planet the early we act the better.
The Youth spend much time on the Social Media. If 10 minutes can be spared by each and every youth every day to promote and enlighten other youths on Climate Change via social media, much can be achieved and people can get to know that  Climate change impacts people negatively and need to be prernted. Observing important  days such as Worlds environment day, Words forest day etc by planting trees and educating communities on Climate change will  matter  a lot to God as we will be protecting His creation.

To those that made it happen. thank you all for your patience and time, just to let you know that the journey has just begun, big task now is to pass the skills on to the other members of the community and encourage them to change their behaviors that leads to Climate Change. Joining hand towards this noble war of Climate Change will make as win and contribute greatly towards making the world a better place. #TogetherWeareStrong.

  1. Nowadays, climate change is not well known and there is a lack of awareness regarding this global issue. If we are to bring our contribution to this climate crisis, we need not only collaborate in taking action, but we need to join forces in spreading awareness on mankind’s greatest challenge. Millions of lives and over a million species are at risk. . It is happening right now. Choosing to make this change a reality is a moral duty
Well done Global Youth Forum for such a noble initiative
